The life

George Manville Fenn was an English writer, printer and schoolmaster who produced some 175 books, most of them adventure stories for boys set in mines, jungles and at sea. He also edited magazines, wrote social-problem novels for adults, and was a friend and biographer of the publisher George Alfred Henty. He worked to the end, dying with a serial still running.
