The life

Harold MacGrath was an American newspaperman from Syracuse who became one of the highest-paid popular novelists of his day and among the first serious writers to work for the movies, scripting serials including The Perils of Pauline. He wrote some forty books of romance and intrigue, many set in invented European kingdoms, and most were filmed.
