The life
Isabel Coston Byrum wrote for the Gospel Trumpet, the press of the Church of God at Anderson, Indiana, which her husband ran. Her speciality was the true story told plainly for the sake of the lesson in it — orphans, poorhouses, drink, and the moment of grace that turns a life. She wrote dozens of such books, sold them through the church, and expected nothing from literature.
