The life

Margaret Mayo was an actress who turned playwright and gave Broadway one of its most durable farces — Baby Mine ran for hundreds of performances and was filmed three times, including once with Buster Keaton. She ran entertainment for American troops in France in 1918, wrote a dozen plays, and novelised her own hits for readers who could not get to New York.
