Rebecca Agatha Armour

Rebecca Agatha Armour taught school in Fredericton and wrote some of the first novels to take New Brunswick seriously as a setting — courtships, fortunes and snobberies transplanted from London to the Saint John River. She published four books, all in the 1880s, and died at forty-six, before Canadian fiction had an audience large enough to remember her.
