Richard Le Gallienne

1866–1947 1 volume Love & Society

The life

Richard Le Gallienne was the beautiful young poet of the 1890s — long hair, Yellow Book circle, close to Wilde and Beardsley — who survived his decade and spent forty more years writing for American magazines and, finally, from Menton in France. His prose romances are the mood of that London preserved: whimsical, wandering, half in love with its own melancholy.
