The life

Arthur B. Reeve was an American writer who created Craig Kennedy, the scientific detective — a Columbia professor who solved crimes with lie detectors, seismographs and portable X-rays years before police used any of them. Eighty-two Kennedy stories made Reeve one of the best-paid writers in America by 1916, and he wrote the screenplays for The Exploits of Elaine, the serial that made Pearl White a star.
