The life
Sax Rohmer was the pen name of Arthur Henry Ward, an English writer who created Fu Manchu and made a fortune from him across some forty books, films and radio serials. The novels are inseparable from the yellow peril panic of their day and their racial caricature is now their most conspicuous feature. Rohmer dabbled in occultism and claimed a Ouija board told him how to make a living.
