Yonge lived her whole life in one Hampshire village, taught Sunday school there for seventy-one years, and gave the proceeds of her books to missionary ships — and wrote domestic mistakes better than anyone of her generation. Illustrated with 60 full-page plates — paintings by Berger-Désoras, Shiels and Q21985188 among them.
